Value-creating Organization

Manufacturing Engineering, Inc. helps companies create organizations that create value.  So we named our focus in organizational development the "Value-creating Organization".  The focus of this effort is:

  • Provide training in Lean manufacturing and production techniques

  • Develop employees to be active value creators

  • Develop leaders to support lean thinking and lean organizations

On-site Training

Public Seminars

Lean Training

We provide training to the "lean" transformation both on-site as well as public training.  Our most valuable assets are people; they can create value far beyond the specific job at hand.

We provide training to support all aspects of Lean Manufacturing, including both the technical elements and transformation of the organization. These courses are presented by instructors who actually implement lean manufacturing solutions and understand the issues involved in these implementations. This means that you get much more than the theory, you get practical answers based on implementation experience and we use our actual case studies as class examples.

We bring Lean training to our customer’s facilities. This provides the opportunity for focused training that is specific to your own needs. On-site training may focus on defining the opportunities for lean in your company and actually building a plan during the training. We can also provide the training with additional days focused on the actual implementation of specific lean elements or a lean design in your facility.

Public Lean Manufacturing Training

  • Training is the key to Empowerment
  • Trained employees are the most valuable resource

  • Engaged employees have improved morale
  • World-Class plants are empowered plants

Employee Development

A significant part of sustaining the gains and preventing a relapse is to have employees become self directed.  Employees need to understand their role and their responsibilities for providing improvement proposals, and employees often need convincing that management supports an environment of employee involvement.  Achieving involvement of employees and moving toward an environment of self-direction provides the foundation for continuous improvement.

Leadership Development

As part the lean transformation, we help develop leaders and effective organizations.  It is a cultural transformation to move from a traditional leadership style to the leadership style in the lean environment.  Our work in this area is a hands-on working style and focuses on developing the leaders and the organization.
