Assessment and Roadmap

 Fast Job Shops

 

This "Assessment and Roadmap" is a quick upfront analysis used to determine the opportunity, cost, and benefits for a particular Job Shop. This assessment also includes a roadmap for improvement within that Job Shop.

 This assessment and roadmap is developed in a team-based approach with Job Shop employees so that upon completion the team is sold on the implementation plan and is ready to begin installation. The assessment includes the three items listed here:

  1. An understanding of the current system and its performance
  2. Top level design of the improved system and its performance
  3. The projects to be implemented and the timing called The Implementation Roadmap.  

As part of this assessment we use the JobShop Lean Toolset and involves:

  1. Processing all your routings through JobShop Lean toolset
  2. Defining the Part/Part Family segmentation
  3. Mapping all the flows into a Value Network Map
  4. Incorporating the results into the design.
